The Many Hats I Wear

Hi, everyone, E. Z. Poschman here. I’m from California and I do things on the Internet! You’re probably here because of my Youtube videos– I’m also known as The Hungry Reader!

I’ve been a web presence since 1996, when I started my first Geocities page for a shared fiction universe with some friends. That was my first experience with creating a community of talented friends from scratch. In 2000 I did the same for a speciality artwork website, which became even more populous and active than my first, but then became obsolete with the advent of DeviantArt.

In 2008, tragic events transformed me into The Hungry Reader, a name I still go by today. At first I expressed my rediscovered love of children’s books through a blog, not entirely different from this one, but it only lasted about six months. Four years later, after much rumination, I released The Wizard Of Oz, the very first Hungry Reader video. And I’ve been keeping up with it (minus a few gaps to play video games now and then) ever since!

The name “Jarring Contrast” comes from my strangely pathological need to always be different.  Standing out is very important to me; for example, I looked at a field filled with video game commentators and decided to talk about children’s books instead! I crave attention and love having a platform to demonstrate my myriad talents! This blog is just the latest addition to my field of outlets.

I live in Fresno, CA, near most of my family. I hate the heat, but I love my mom and dad, so it evens out!

So that’s what’s going on with me. Tell me about yourself and how you found my website, won’t you?
